The Graduate School of Management (GSM) recently had the distinguished honor of welcoming Professor Robert C. M. Branch from the University of Georgia, United States of America, as part of an ongoing initiative to academic collaboration between Côte d’Ivoire and the United States.

This high-level visit forms part of a broader partnership supported by the United States Embassy, aimed at fostering stronger ties between tertiary institutions in Côte d’Ivoire and leading American universities. Professor Branch was accompanied by Mrs. Nina Toyo, EducationUSA Coordinator at the U.S. Embassy, whose presence further reinforced the commitment to expanding academic and professional opportunities for both faculty and students.

During his visit, Professor Branch engaged extensively with GSM faculty members in an interactive session focused on the evolving challenges of delivering quality education in today’s dynamic learning environment—particularly in the context of rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The discussions provided valuable insights into innovative teaching strategies, curriculum adaptation, and the integration of emerging technologies into higher education.

The Rector of GSM, Dr. Tandoh, expressed his deep appreciation for the visit, emphasizing the importance of knowledge exchange and international exposure. He highlighted that such engagements not only enrich academic experience but also position the institution to meet global standards of excellence.

Faculty members welcomed the opportunity to share their perspectives and challenges and expressed a strong interest in building sustainable partnerships with U.S. institutions. GSM has officially welcomed 88 new students into its academic community during the 2026 Matriculation Ceremony held in a dignified and inspiring atmosphere.

The ceremony brought together distinguished guests, faculty and staff members, proud parents and guardians, and the newly admitted students who formally took the matriculation oath, marking the beginning of their academic journey at GSM.

In his welcome address, the Rector described the occasion as a significant milestone in the lives of the freshers. He emphasized that admission into GSM represents not only academic achievement but also the start of a transformative journey filled with opportunity, growth, and responsibility.

He reiterated that education at GSM goes beyond earning certificates. According to him, the institution is committed to developing character, competence, and confidence in its students. GSM aims to nurture disciplined, ethical, and innovative professionals who are prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.

Addressing the newly matriculated students, the Rector reminded them that matriculation is more than a ceremony—it is a commitment to excellence, integrity, and personal growth. Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire — Graduate School of Management, Abidjan (GSM) successfully held its 2025 Graduation Ceremony under the inspiring theme “Innovating for Impact: Shaping Leaders of Quality for a Transforming World.” The event marked a major academic milestone as the institution proudly graduated students across its postgraduate, and undergraduate programs. A total of 86 students were celebrated during the ceremony, drawn from both master and bachelor levels.

In his welcome address, the Rector of GSM Dr. TANDOH Bismark emphasized the institution’s firm commitment to producing graduates who are innovative, ethically grounded, and quality-driven. He noted that innovation without integrity is incomplete, and quality without vision limits impact.
The Guest Speaker Mr. Christian BUGABO an investment Executive at GroFin, Rwanda, challenged the graduates to become transformational leaders— individuals who use their knowledge to create value, solve real-world problems, and uplift their communities.

Outstanding students were recognized with awards for academic excellence, leadership, innovation, and community service. The ceremony was attended by parents, guardians, faculty members, industry
partners, and invited dignitaries, all of whom joined in celebrating the achievements and future potential of the graduating class.
